Finnish Traditional Folk Metal pioneer, Korpiklaani, has revealed initial details on its upcoming 8th studio record, Manala. The band’s fourth Nuclear Blast Records release will hit stores on 14th August in North America.
Norwegian Ethereal Rock outfit, Ulver, has released a music video for Magic Hollow, taken from the band’s upcoming collection of Classic Psychedelic Rock covers, Childhood’s End. Basick Records have announced that they will release the debut record from US band Glass Cloud throughout Europe on 2nd July 2012.
Silent Gods, a brand new single from U.K Progressive Black/Death Metal band De Profundis, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track comes off the band's third album, The Emptiness Within, which will be released on 7th May in the U.K and 11th May in the rest of Europe via Kolony Records. The CD was once again produced by Fernando Pereira Lopes (Misanthrope, Orakle) and De Profundis and was mixed at the Studios Davout (Ac/Dc, The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne) in Paris, France. The cover artwork was created by the renowned artist Costin Chioreanu (Twilight13Media), who has previously worked with Ulver, Darkthrone and Absu, to name a few.
The Safety Fire is a London based 5-piece Progressive Metal act, featuring Sean McWeeny on vocals, Joaquin Ardiles and Derya Nagle on guitar duties, and Lori Peri and Calvin Smith on bass and drums, respectively. Grind the Ocean is the band’s 2nd release and 1st full-length following 2009’s Sections (E.P).
Element Nexus, the new music video from Antikythera, the Philadelphia-based Death Metal band featuring members of Jungle Rot, Nightfire, Blood Of Abel and Insatanity, can be seen below. The song comes off the group's upcoming album, tentatively due this summer. The CD was recorded by Len Carmichael, who worked on the latest Swashbuckle album for Century Media Records and will feature artwork by Mallika Sundaramurthy of Boston's Abnormality.
