GONZO is based on the character from Hunter. S. Thompson's classic, 'Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas.' Starting off slow and kicking in with the hook, the song exemplifies GREY SHACK's sound. Themed around sex, drugs and alcohol, the song mimics the effects of riding the Rock 'N' Roll wave high.
The song has been up for streaming on the band's Soundcloud page.
GREY SHACK was formed in July 2007 with Vikram Vivekanand on guitars, Rohan Sen on vocals and Tomojit Basu on bass. After the original drummer Deepak split, the band roped in Elvin D'Costa to handle the percussive responsibilities. The band has been around for the better part of the five years, however, lineup changes and geographical difference forced the band into an extended hiatus. GREY SHACK reformed a few months back with Madhav Ravindranath (ex-BLIND IMAGE, ex-MAELSTORM) on bass and Vinay Ramakrishnan (OFF THE RECORD, PUBLIC ISSUE) on drums. Plans are being made for the full length which should be released by the middle of 2012.
Immediate gigging plans include opening the Chennai Global Music Fest on 13th January 2012 with shows in Bangalore in Hyderabad lined up!
