On each episode, a member of the band will describe his personal involvement in the album: interesting instruments and equipment used, individual recording experiences, thoughts and influences leading to the creation of each song, and more.
Currently online, the first podcast features INDUS CREED keyboard player and studio veteran Zubin Balaporia offering an insight to his arsenal of synthesizers and software plug-ins (his “babies”) as well as a rare in-studio demo of a Classic Rock keyboard—the Hammond B3 organ—which rock stalwarts like DEEP PURPLE’s Jon Lord made known across the world.
Says Zubin, “In addition to our music, INDUS CREED’s popularity has always included our accessibility to our fans. These podcasts will be a way to keep that accessibility intact and move it forward interactively in this digital age. Aspiring rockers can write in on the band’s Facebook page with any questions and tips relating to the album-creation method. And fans can feel free to seek out personal anecdotes and points of view (like what influences Jai’s unique fashion sense).”
The multi-award-winning group, who stopped playing at the peak of their career in 1999, was relaunched in October 2010 by Uday Benegal (vocals), Mahesh Tinaikar (guitars), Zubin Balaporia (keyboards), Rushad Mistry (bass) and Jai Row Kavi (drums).
INDUS CREED would also be returning to UAE for the first time since reuniting last year. They are scheduled to play at The Music Room on the 21st of October, 2011. INDUS CREED looks forward to, doing what they do best, creating electrifying live performances, for the audiences of Dubai.
