Null Friction To Release Second Album This March

Null Friction New Album 2012

After six years of playing together, Chennai’s very own, NULL FRICTION is set to launch their second album, BE CALM & BRING ICE, this March. Over the past two years, the band has pretty much been absent from the live music space owing to vast geographical distances amongst the bands members (all three members live in three different countries) and other personal commitments. This album is definitely a much awaited move for the band members.

The band is currently putting the finishing touches to the record in a studio in Mumbai along with producer/engineer, Ayan De (THE LIGHTYEARS EXPLODE, GODDESS GAGGED, BONES FOR BERTIE, VENUS PROJECT). After a successful debut album, MADRAS, that topped several charts including Reverbnation & Youtube receiving many positive reviews, BE CALM & BRING ICE promises to be fresh and distinctively NULL FRICTION.

A teaser to the new album can viewed below.

About: Null Friction
Abhishek Singhal (bass), Shreyans Jha (Guitar/vocals) and Ansh Sanyal (drums) started playing music six years ago, in their school's makeshift “sports/music room.” Since then they have reunited to go on extensive India tours, and played several gigs in New York City, Boston and Ottawa in spite of living in different parts of the World.

A reunion in Mumbai, India this past month and a live performance in home city, Madras, has resulted in a new album. This promises to be yet another milestone of ensuring the universe is conspiring to keep things real, yet beautiful for us.
