Swadhyay, a Contemporary/Alternative Rock band hailing from Guwahati, Assam will be releasing their debut single titled Maa at the end of May month. This song will be a tribute to every mother and also to their mother-land, Assam. Maa is recorded and mastered at Noisegate Studio, Guwahati.

Indian Metal Festival, an annual music event with unique blend of artists/genres in Heavy Metal. The first edition is scheduled to take place in Bangalore, in the month of October, 2012, featuring 4 renowned International supporting bands that have caused quite a stir in the Metal scene globally for their intense performances. In order they are, Bloodshot Dawn (U.K), Xerath (U.K), InnerGuilt (Lebanon) and Flayed Disciple (U.K). Indian artists to support the event will be announced later. Co-headliner in Cerebal Bore, Scottish Death Metal giants, with great performance reputation and electrifying stage presence.

Ex-guitarist of Mumbai, Maharashtra based Hindi Rock act Shor Bazaar, Abhishek Dasgupta, has released his first official music video for the track Balram. You can watch the music video below! The song, inspired by Bollywood and South Indian masala flicks, was first released on 15/10/2011 as part of his 3 track debut EP titled EP 1. The video has been made in collaboration with Suhaib Syed and Bhushan Gachake.

Demonic Resurrection frontman Demonstealer has launched a new Old School Heavy Metal supergroup Hellwind. The band features Akshay Deodhar (Spook) on vocals, Rajarshi Bhattacharyya (ex-Workshop) and Kiron Kumar (ex-Colossus) on guitars, Aditya Kadam (Workshop, Funk The System) with Demonstealer taking over the drummers throne.

This monsoon the Club Muzik is bringing a Rock music fest, Monsoon Beats featuring Noiseware (Pune), Magdalene (Aizawl) and Digital Suicide (Guwahati) alongside Cleave (Imphal), Rubicons (Imphal) and The Wishess (Imphal) with the theme "Rage Against Crime". The event is a protest against the recent increase in the criminal acts like rape, murder, communal riots etc in the country. As a sign of goodwill and a helping hand to the socially handicapped children the Club Muzik is promising to donate 10% of the total amount collected through the ticket sales of the event to The Children Homes.
