India's only Humor Metal/Rock band WORKSHOP fronted by Demonstealer (DEMONIC RESURRECTION) had recently called it quits (read the facebook note: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150249809233588). The announcement came shortly after their bass player Riju Dasgupta of Horror Metal act ALBATROSS quit the band. The band has now announced their comeback gig on 8th January 2012 at the BlueFrog club in Mumbai. However no mention has been made of who the new bass player or lead guitarist is. Devesh Dayal from GODDESS GAGGED was last seen filling in the lead guitar spot in the band.

 

Heavy Metal cooking show Headbanger's Kitchen hosted by DEMONIC RESURRECTION frontman Demonstealer have released their 7th Episode featuring Mumbai's latest music sensation GODDESS GAGGED.

ANOTHER QUIET DAY(E.P) is sophomore effort by now, multi national Ambient/Drone/Post-Rock/Ethereal band, THE ETERNAL TWILIGHT. It will officially, mark as the first release of THE ETERNAL TWILIGHT as a 4 men band and all members belonging to different countries.

 

After the bands formation in March 2008, ACRIMONY hailing from Bhopal is all set to release their debut E. P. titled – FALSE VACUUM. Known for its unique sound which can be best defined as Progressive Metal with ample influences of Indian Classical Music & Djent, ACRIMONY has established itself as one of the torch-bearers of Metal for the state of Madhya Pradesh. The album is title refers to a sub-theory of the theory of a 'Parallel Universe' i.e. “The False Vacuum Theory”.

 

Chandigarh based Groovecore/Deathcore band BLACKHEART was formed about an year ago, by a bunch of teenage metalheads. After
their first gig on 31st January 2011, they never looked back. Since then, BLACKHEART has conquered many stages and moreover
heart and mind of the metalheads in Chandigarh-Shimla region. Not to forget, all the band members are still teenagers.

 

Baiju Dharmajan, former guitarist with Kerala Rock act MOTHERJANE and one of India’s most acclaimed guitarists, has just announced that he’s signed with Cochym, a new label and artist management company based in Cochin, Kerala. Famously known as “The God of Small Strings” for his Carnatic-inspired guitar style, Dharmajan will release his forthcoming debut solo album on the label.
