KHOYA KHOYA CHAND first appeared in KALA BAZAR, a hindi film starring Dev Anand, in the year 1960. Dev Anand passed away in London at the age of 88 on 3 December 2011 of a cardiac arrest leaving a deep vaccum in the world of Indian cinema.
Drawing from his Punk Rock/Grunge/Garage Rock influences, KHOYA KHOYA CHAND has been re-imagined and re-arranged in a distinctive way, not only as an homage to the evergreen actor but also to the golden era of Hindi Music in Bollywood. The track has been mixed and mastered by Akash Sawant while Bhushan Gachake has programmed the drums.
Abhishek Dasgupta also released his debut EP titled EP 1 on 15th October 2011, which is available for "Free Download" on his Facebook, Reverbnation and Soundcloud pages and further plans to release songs/EP's on a consistent basis in future.
