Djent seems to be the “In Thing” these days, with almost every Metalhead wanting to buy an eight or seven string guitar and play like MESHUGGAH. And, it is because of this that this genre has gone through a lot of criticism from the Metal community as they find the genre quite derivative From its founding fathers who I mentioned above. While they are right in ninety percent of the cases they are some bands which I do like in this genre. Keep that in mind I think NOISEWARE seem to besitting on the fence in this one.

NOISEWARE are a five piece from Pune, they consist of Aniket Patni (Guitars), Bob Alex (Bass), Gautam Deb (Drums), Adhiraj singh(Guitars) and Aman Virdi (Vocals). The guitars on this album keep the ambient elements to a bare minimum and instead focus on some very thick, groove oriented guitar riffs which remind me of AFTER THE BURIAL, UNEVEN STRUCTURE and to an extent ARTILLERIE, making them sound heavier than some of the other Djent bands in the country. Keeping this in mind I don’t think the ambient elements should have been there at all as they don’t really add anything to their sound and they are just there for the sake of being there. Gautam’s drums on this album are exactly what the drums are supposed to be like in a band like this tight, precise and technical, and although he doesn’t really bring anything new or innovative to this genre. He does his job well and at the end of the day that’s what matters. Aman’s vocals although sound lot like Jens Kidman
(a problem faced by many Djent vocalists), they bring a lot of intensity to the band, especially when he mixes his growl with some really wicked shrieks.

So when all is said and done, the big question is, is it worth it? Well...they are definitely not doing something that is ground breaking and will change the way we listen to music. But still they have made a decent EP which is enjoyable for what it is, definitely worth checking out, especially all you Djent fans out there. (6/10)

Bottom Line

A good album with some "Nice Heavy" riffs, nothing revolutionary but still worth checking out!
