Decription: As they call it as “funk metal”, this band from lanes of Chennai comes up with some good vocals, sensible guitar riffing & with a well composed tracks in their latest album ”Design”.The track ‘Soon before I’m dead’ gives a good start to this album. Later on tracks like ‘Adrenaline’ and ‘R.I.D’ are short but complete heart pumping. Then coming on to tracks like ’Stay wild’ and ‘how’d you do that’ are quite groovy tracks with good distortions and guitar melodies letting the listeners banging their head. The track ‘Black hammer man ’ is a kind of conceptual sound track which gives u an international band feel. The title track ‘Design’ which talks about the designs of life is a good sounding track with something different rather than the common tracks that are released recently. At last ‘Gun slin ger’ gives a good end to the album that takes the whole album to another level of superiority.
Bottom Line: As a listener this album is somewhere between average and good with some different experimental music with which you can chill out with your friends. In short ‘SKRAT’ comes up with good compositions and with high potential as their debut album, which obviously needs listener’s attention to reach new heights in the Indian Rock scenario.
So if you are bored of listening the same kind of stuffs grab the copy of ‘Design’
As far as ratings are concerned 6.5/10 is must for the album.
