UNDYING INC. is a band that has really struggled a lot in its career, from humble beginnings when the band was heavily influenced by PANTERA to an extent where it seemed almost derivative and were often criticised for it, and seen as a weak link, to now where they have inspired many "Vicious" moshpits and have created some of the most Brutal Metal that India has heard. Keeping that in context, AGGRESSIVE WORLD DYNASTY is nothing more of an official stamp which says “UNDYING INC. has arrived.”

UNDYING INC. is a four piece from New Delhi, India consisting of Shashank Bhatnagar(Vocals), Biswarup Gupta aka Biz(Guitars), Reuben Bhattacharya (Bass) and Yuvraj Sen Gupta (Drums), this album was produced by none other than Anupam Roy, a pivotal force in the Indian Metal scene. Biz mixes technality with brutality very well on this album and prevents it from becoming an “Ultimate Wank Fest” type of album. In fact although Biz’s guitar playing is very technical and complex it never overshadows the raw aggression and anger this album displays infact his technique adds to this element which is central to this album. The guitar tones here are a little raw when compared to other bands like BHAYANAK MAUT, SCRIBE and ARTILLERIE, not Grindcore raw or Black Metal raw, but raw, and a lot thicker which makes this album deliciously heavy, adding to that heaviness tremendously is Reuben with his six string bass making the album sound like a relentless nuclear assault! Just listening to the bass alone in the breakdown to AGGRESSIVE WORLD DYNASTY makes my hair stand on end! Like Biz and Reuben, Yuvraj's drumming is very complex, most of the time he seems to be doing his own thing rather than blindly following the guitar and bass, this is best exemplified in BREEDING GODS. Last but not the least is the man with the Iron lung Shashank Bhatnagar, who with his screams, screeches and growls has definitely earned that title and is probably one of the best extreme vocalists in India. The scream at the end of MANIMAL is proof enough.

It is difficult to categorize UNDYING INC. as they mix together different genres to create something that is inventive, modern and brutal as fuck! You can say that their music is similar to FEAR FACTORY or MESHUGGAH, but that just barely scratches the surface. With guitar riffs that sound like a nuclear explosion (esp. The breakdown to AWD) UNDYING INC. bring images of war destruction and human suffering, and it does so in the most spontaneous and natural manner, being completely devoid of any pretension.

Bottom Line

Shashank Bhatnagar always used to ask the audience if they were with them and if they said yes he said “Welcome to our Aggressive world Dynasty.” If things keep going this way, I think I will stay in this dynasty for a long time.
