Arihant-Self-Hatred Single Review

Arihant Self Hatred

Guwahati, Assam based three piece Experimental Death Metal outfit, ARIHANT represents ‘Destroyer of enemies as a sign of brutality’. A blend of Technical Death Metal garnished with Modern Death Metal, ARIHANT is a complete sheaf of the Brutal/Death Metal act! Started by Angshuman Hazarika(Drummer) and Pikashu(former Guitarist), the band started playing brutal stuffs and went on exploring Extreme Metal. With a new line-up on May 2011, they released their first single SELF-HATRED on June 2011. The present line-up’s are: Rituraj (Vocals/Bass), Bhaskar (Guitars) and Angshuman(Drums).

The single was mixed and mastered at LUCID RECESS STUDIO(Guwahati, Assam). ARIHANT delivers a labyrinthine, crushing and eximious sound from start to finish. Baroque techniques of drums and guitars in their latest single SELF-HATRED stylistically analogues with the raw and corpulent vocals of Rituraj. Dynamic tempo change, relentless drum-kicks along with the screamed vocals adds to the charisma of this Indian Death Metal act. The eccentric song-writing skills and overall riff work in SELF-HATRED is praiseworthy. Lyrically the song deals with the dark influences of drug and its use in the modern society. ARIHANT has definitely copious light in their passage!
