Virginia Melodic Death Metal veteran, Arsis, has announced Shawn Priest as the full-time replacement for recently departed drummer, Mike VanDyne. Priest, who has toured with Arsis in the past, will be behind the kit for the band’s upcoming fifth studio album.

Arizona Extreme Metal band JOB FOR A COWBOY have entered AUDIOHAMMER STUDIOS in Sanford, Florida to begin recording their next album for an early 2012 release via METAL BLADE RECORDS. The band is once again working with producer Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, CHIMAIRA, DEVILDRIVER), who helmed the group's latest EP, GLOOM.
INCEPTION OF THE END, a brand new song from Florida metallers TRIVIUM can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track comes off the band's new album, IN WAVES, which will be released on 9th August via ROADRUNNER RECORDS. The follow-up to 2008's SHOGUN was recorded primarily at PAINT IT BLACK STUDIOS in Orlando, Florida (with only the drums having been tracked at AUDIOHAMMER STUDIOS in Sanford, Florida) with the production/mixing team of Colin Richardson (MACHINE HEAD, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, SLIPKNOT, FEAR FACTORY) and Martin "Ginge" Ford, along with engineer Carl Bown.
