
Albatross, the Heavy/Horror Metal band from Mumbai, Maharashtra which was initially a solo project of Riju 'Dr. Hex' Dasgupta, the bassist who wanted to create a healthy fusion between literature and Metal. Later he was joined by his other band mates which led to the birth of Albatross.

Heavy Metal cooking show Headbanger's Kitchen hosted by DEMONIC RESURRECTION frontman Demonstealer releases a new episode featuring Horror Metal band ALBATROSS.The show, features the creation of a dish called "Uncle Sunny's Mac & Cheese" based on the latest single released by the band called UNCLE SUNNY AT THE TAVERN. The band was grilled (no pun intended) about their new EP, international collaborations with Andy LaRocque (DEATH/KING DIAMOND) and Niklas Stalvind (WOLF) and their love for Old-School Metal.
ALBATROSS are back! The CD will officially be launched at ALBATROSS's album release gig the 30th of March at Star Rock, Chennai. It contains two tales of darkness, morbidity and despair.

Mumbai, Maharashtra based Heavy/Horror Metal band ALBATROSS has recently released a single from their upcoming EP, THE KISSING FLIES on their SoundCloud page. The track titled UNCLE SUNNY AT THE TAVERN features Niklas Stalvind (vocalist/rhythm guitarist of Swedish Heavy Metal band WOLF) sharing vocal duties with ALBATROSS frontman Biprorshee Das.

India's only Humor Metal/Rock band WORKSHOP fronted by Demonstealer (DEMONIC RESURRECTION) had recently called it quits (read the facebook note: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150249809233588). The announcement came shortly after their bass player Riju Dasgupta of Horror Metal act ALBATROSS quit the band. The band has now announced their comeback gig on 8th January 2012 at the BlueFrog club in Mumbai. However no mention has been made of who the new bass player or lead guitarist is. Devesh Dayal from GODDESS GAGGED was last seen filling in the lead guitar spot in the band.

Indian Metal band DEMONIC RESURRECTION have released 4 pro shot videos from their All-Star Concert held in November. The All-Star Concert was one of the pre-parties held for the Bacardi NH7 Weekender. The All-Star Concert saw a host of vocalists and bass players join the band on stage creating a unique experience for DEMONIC RESURRECTION fans.

A week ago Mumbai Metal band DEMONIC RESURRECTION announced an 'All-Star' show and invited entries from young upcoming bands for the opening slot. The gig is one of the pre-parties for Bacardi NH7 Weekender Festival and is being held on Saturday 5th November at the B69 Club in Mumbai. Over the course of the week the band revealed that the show would be opened by not one but two bands; VIZIA an upcoming Modern Metal band from Mumbai and ARIHANT, a Death Metal trio from Guwahati were selected from the demos received. The band also revealed the 'All-Star' list which features four bass players and nine singers as listed below.
