South Carolina-based Extreme Technical Death Metal band Nile will release their seventh full-length album, At The Gate Of Sethu, in Europe on 29th June and in the U.S on 3rd July via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2009's Those Whom The Gods Detest was once again produced and mixed by Neil Kernon, who has previously worked with Nevermore, Cannibal Corpse, Queensryche and Deicide, among many others. The CD artwork was handled by a true genius of darkened visuals, Seth Siro Anton (Soilwork, Paradise Lost, Septicflesh).
The reigning king of technical, historically-themed brutality, NILE, has announced a 3rd July release date for its upcoming studio album, AT THE GATE OF SETHU. The follow-up to NILE’s latest state of the Death Metal art release, THOSE WHOM THE GODS DETEST (2009), will once again be released via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. Neil Kernon (CANNIBAL CORPSE, MACABRE) handled production duties for NILE’s seventh full-length.

When CANNIBAL CORPSE released it’s EVISCERATION PLAGUE in the year 2009, it could’nt really hook me up to it, as much as KILL did, way back in the year 2006. However, the great buzz about TORTURE in the Metal world made me really excited. Since, Death Metal can give me eargasms, I was way eager to get hold of this. And certainly, once again, CANNIBAL CORPSE has me striking a huge beaming smile. And it’s a mad pleasure for me to review the band whom I have literally worshipped for all these years!

Formed in September 2009, hailing from London, UK, TRIFIXION is a Death Metal band with some grind element in them. A UTOPIA FOR THE DAMNED is their first full length debut album released in 1st June 2011, with 9 bone-crushing songs and an intro. They had a demo before named WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS made in the year 2010. Deriving influences from bands like DYING FETUS, PANTERA, CANNIBAL CORPSE, SUFFOCATION etc they have produced an album with nice elements of technicality and a very straight-forward essence towards Death Metal. Nile Begins Recording New Album Recently

South Carolina-based Extreme Technical Death Metal band NILE have finished recording the drums for their new album for an early 2012 release. Guitarist/vocalist Karl Sanders states, George [Kollias, drums], Dallas [Toler-Wade, guitar/vocals], [producer] Neil Kernon and I spent a week with Bob Moore at the SOUNDLAB in Columbia, South Carolina tracking drums. We were expecting a long grueling session - some of this material is very compositionally challenging and technically demanding - but George knocked it out, finishing a full week ahead of schedule.
British Black Metal pioneers VENOM have been confirmed for next year's edition of the 70000 Tons Of Metal Cruise, which will set sail from Miami, Florida to Cayman Islands on 23rd January 2012 and return four days later. A total of 40 acts will perform on the cruise.
Finnish Death Metal band TORTURE KILLER are putting the finishing touches on a new three-song EP entitled I CHOSE DEATH. The effort will mark the recording debut of the group's new singer, Pessi Haltsonen (RETALIATORY MEASURES), who is described by his new bandmates as "a perfect fit" and "a human powerhouse."

Cannibal Corpse Begins Recording New Album

Florida-based Death Metal band CANNIBAL CORPSE have begun recording their twelfth studio album at SONIC RANCH STUDIOS in Texas with producer Erik Rutan. The band has spent months writing the album and has recorded at SONIC RANCH STUDIOS in the past, but never with Rutan at the helm. More details on the album, including art, songs, title and more will be revealed in the months to follow. For now, the band is hard at work forging their next death metal offering.
