Brendan Crabb of Australia's Loud recently conducted an interview with drummer Mario Duplantier of French Progressive Metal band GOJIRA.

SOULFLY mainman Max Cavalera's son Zyon will sit behind the drum kit for the band's 31st July performance at the Lokerse Festival in Lokeren, Belgium following the rumored recent departure of the group's longtime drummer, Joe Nunez.

Guitarist/vocalist Joe Duplantier of French Extreme/Progressive Metal band GOJIRA recently spoke to U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine about the band's forthcoming four-song E.P, the proceeds from which will benefit Sea Shepherd, an anti-whaling organization.

The U.S/German Metal group CONSFEARACY featuring lead vocalist Brian O’Connor, (ex- VICIOUS RUMOURS) guitarist Fabian Schwarz (THE NEW BLACK), Guenter Auschrat, bassist (THE NEW BLACK, ABANDONED); Ira Black, guitarist (ex-VICIOUS RUMOURS, METAL CHURCH); and drummer Timo Weis have inked a deal with MASSACRE RECORDS. 

Here's a good news for many of the fans around the globe when Brazilian thrash metal legends SEPULTURA confirmed the re-union of the classic line-up of the band featuring Max Cavalera(vocalist/guitarist), Igor Cavalera(drummer), Paulo Xisto Jr(bassist) and Andreas Kisser(guitarist) later this year for a world tour.

Max Cavalera confirms that SOULFLY will begin recording a new album in November.

But now as we turn these pages of years the trend seems to have changed. It is still the music for "Weird" people, but the term "weird" has a bit of a different meaning. I say this watching all those Black-T wearing kids that flock every other Metal show in town. Which makes me say that it’s not so “Underground” anymore? Is it? Don’t we all now like to flaunt our favourite band T-Shirts now?
