Five-piece Groove Metal band from New Delhi, NEW GENESIS have announced the pre-orders of their debut EP, THE PITS OF TARTARUS, which will be released early next month.
BLACKOUT SUPERSTAR, the Cleveland, Ohio based Rock band featuring guitarist Ken Obloy (RIKETS), vocalist Jonny Sayre (ERASE THE GREY), bassist Kenny Irizarry (GATLIN), guitarist Jeff Butchko (ERASE THE GREY) and drummer Holly Manning (REBEL GIRL), has inked a deal with RADIUM RECORDS. The group is currently putting the finishing touches on its full-length debut, WHISKEY WEEKEND, with producer Ben Schigel (CHIMAIRA, STRAIGHT LINE STITCH, EVANESCENCE, DROWNING POOL) at SPIDER STUDIOS. A January release is planned, with a record-launch party scheduled on 21st January at Peabody's in Cleveland.
According to BLACKOUT SUPERSTAR's official biography, the band's goal is "a simple one: to help put the 'roll' back in Rock 'N' Roll. Six Feet Under Demoed 26 Songs For New Album

Florida-based Death Metal band SIX FEET UNDER have demoed 26 songs for their forthcoming album, tentatively due in early 2012 via METAL BLADE RECORDS. According to singer Chris Barnes, "14 or 15" tracks will make the final cut for the follow-up to 2008's DEATH RITUALS, which will mark the recording debut of SIX FEET UNDER's current lineup - guitarist Rob Arnold (CHIMAIRA), drummer Kevin Talley (DAATH, MISERY INDEX, CHIMAIRA), Barnes and guitarist Steve Swanson. CHIMAIRA guitarist Matt Devries is handling bass duties on the road, but it not expected to become an official member of SIX FEET UNDER.
LOST FOR NOTHING, the new music video from ICON IN ME - the Russian/Swedish/Danish Modern Metal band featuring HOSTILE BREED guitarist Dmitry Frans, Danish drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (SUBMISSION, THE ARCANE ORDER, SCARVE, INSTANT CARNAGE, STRANGLER, SOILWORK) and Swedish vocalist Tony Jelencovich (M.A.N, ex-MNEMIC, TRANSPORT LEAGUE) - can be viewed below. According to Jelencovich, the timely clip represents "Money vs. Humans. It is sad to see the never-ending profit-before-everything-else mentality. SOULFLY has completed recording its new studio album for an early 2012 release via ROADRUNNER RECORDS. The CD was recorded at with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has previously worked with CHIMAIRA, HATEBREED, ALL THAT REMAINS, THE ACACIA STRAIN, BORN OF OSIRIS and SHADOWS FALL, among others. The band's new drummer, David Kinkade (BORKNAGAR, ARSIS, MALEVOLENT CREATION), described the group's new material on his Facebook page as "crushing, fast thrash, blasting, tribal and fueled by extreme burrito fury. The record is sounding fucking sick. Thrashy as fuck...totally ARISE [referring to SEPULTURA's classic 1991 album] on crack and speed."
THE AGE OF HELL, the new album from Cleveland, Ohio Metal band CHIMAIRA, can be streamed in its entirety at AOL Music.
