Progressive death metal act OBSCURA has begun recording the follow-up album to their breakthrough release COSMOGENESIS at WOODSHED STUDIOS in southern Germany. Engineer V. Santura (TRIPTYKON, DARK FORTRESS) will helm the recording. An early 2011 release date is expected with additional album details to be announced soon.

Israeli melodic extreme metal band WINTERHORDE has posted two brand new songs TENTH WAVE and THE MARTYR AND DELIVERANCE on the group's MySpace page. The tracks come off WINTERHORDE's sophomore full-length album, UNDERWATERMOON which will be released later this year.

NEGURA BUNGET, the Romanian band that incorporates elements of black metal, progressive metal, folk metal and dark ambient, has recorded a new song for inclusion on CODE666 RECORDS' compilation BETTER UNDEAD THAN ALIVE II. Entitled CUMPANA (Balance/Ordeal), the track was laid down at NEGURA MUSIC STUDIO and is the first composition to be written by the band's new lineup.
