Onirophagus is a Death/Doom Metal band formed in September 2011. The band hails from Barcelona, Spain. Currently they are located in L' Hospitalet. They are formed under the influence of bands like My Dying Bride, Ophis, Incantation, Immolation, Evoken etc. Onirophagus, blends a very nice version of "death" with "doom" to produce a brilliant cross-over between Ophis and Incantation. They have induced a pain filled vocals in the song along with some depressive riffs and huge barrage of blast-beats.
Summers End, the new video from the Croatian female fronted Doom / Gothic Metal band Ashes You Leave, can be viewed below. The song is taken from their forthcoming 6th album The Cure For Happiness.

Dutch Death/Thrash Metal pioneers THANATOS have issued the following update:
"Although 2011 was another tough and bumpy year in the now 28-years-long history of THANATOS, we're still here! And no shitty record companies or unreliable (business) partners are ever going to break us!
CATHEDRAL WALLS, the new music video from Finnish Doom Metal band SWALLOW THE SUN, can be seen below. The song, which features a guest appearance by Anette Olzon of NIGHTWISH, comes off the band's fifth full-length album, EMERALD FOREST AND THE BLACKBIRD, which will be released on 1st February via SPINEFARM RECORDS. The CD was recorded during September and October 2011 by Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, AMORPHIS, CHILDREN OF BODOM) at DRUMFOREST STUDIOS in Viitasaari and SONIC PUMP 2 in Helsinki, and by Hannu Honkonen at NOISEWORK STUDIOS in Helsinki. The effort was mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, APOCALYPTICA, AMORPHIS, MOONSPELL) and will be mastered by Mika Jussila (NIGHTWISH, AMORPHIS, SENTENCED) at FINNVOX STUDIOS. The artwork was once again created by Rami Mursula.
David Gold, a founding member of the Ontario, Canada-based Black/ Doom Metal band WOODS OF YPRES, was killed on 22nd December 2011 in an accident near Barrie, Ontario.

North Carolina Doom Metal band HOUR OF 13 have a released a brand new track from their forthcoming new album.
ABIGAIL (Japan), CAUCHEMAR (Canada) and DYING EMBRACE (India) have just been confirmed to headline the second Trendslaughter Fest on 29th January 2012, in Bangalore, India. According to the organizers (Cyclopean Eye Productions/Trendslaughter crew), the festival has been created to “bring Bangalore the best of underground metal by getting both foreign acts and local bands together and thereby creating a rock solid underground movement to spearhead the Heavy Metal culture in India.” The fest will also have local support from Death/Grind band GORIFIED, Old School Death Metal band DWHESHA and Drone/ Doom Metal band DJINN AND MISKATONIC.
