Scheduled to release on the 23rd and 27th of March, in Europe and the United States respectively, KOLOSS is the new hot topic in the drop-tuned, more-strings-than-you-can-count-metal circuit. KOLOSS is the seventh record from Swedish Progressive Metal stalwarts, MESHUGGAH. The band comprises of Jens Kidman (Vocals), Frederik Thordendal (Guitars), Mårten Hagström (Guitars), Dick Lövgren (bass) and Tomas Haake (Drums).
There is no dearth of Hard Rock bands in the country at present. And the level of competition in the genre is definitely very high. And it takes a lot of talent and genuineness to stand out among the crowd and make a mark or set a trend. WHAT GOOGLE CAN'T FIND is definitely on track to make it big in this scene, judging by their debut E.P titled STIGMA.

Bangalore based Progressive/Experimental Metal quintent CHEISRAH are probably one of the most refreshing and new one to the circuit. They took the scene in May 2011, hitting both on and off stage and with their new EP, OMG! SHE'S HERE.

Bangalore, Karnataka based Experimental Metal act CHEISRAH released their debut EP, OMG! SHE'S HERE! online today [Mid-Night] in a very low key affair. This short EP consisting of 3 tracks is available for "Free Download" and streaming. The Bangalore based quintet, all hailing from North East India (except for Thejus Nair) brings in their different individual influences and fuses them together into their sound. No particular theme/lyrics has been followed in the EP. However the first track is dedicated to the Iron Lady of Manipur, Irom Sharmila Chanu, who has been in hunger strike since 10 years as a protest against the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). All together, CHEISRAH is looking forward to give the Metal clan a fresh cream to enjoy and some pure headbanging Metal music. They are working on their live act and will start doing gigs soon in and around Bangalore.

IMR: Hello, Akshat Vaze! Okay, so before starting with the interview, it would be great if you could give a brief run-down about the bands origin since younger days?
Akshat Vaze(WGCF): WGCF started off as a onetime thing for me and the drummer, Aashish, back last year when it wasn’t a band. We were called to be a part of the instrumentation of a German theatre group known as "Bunte Buehne" which was a part of "Max Mueller Bhavan" here in Pune. So we, I don’t know why, stuck around for a couple of months and we played around. We actually started off as a German cover band. We officially started off in July/ August of 2010.

SOULSELLER RECORDS is loudly presenting an exclusive and limited seven-inch EP vinyl by Norwegian masters of Progressive/Experimental Metal band ENSLAVED.
So what’s cooking in the underground metal scene for this month? We can count on the much anticipated album release by Delhi-based SKYHARBOR, the brainchild of Keshav Dhar to whip up some hardcore djent which borders on Ambient and Experimental Metal. It features appearances by Marty Friedman (Ex-MEGADETH), Daniel Tompkins (TESSERACT, HAJI'S KITCHEN, FIRST SIGNS OF FROST), Sunneith Revankar (BHAYANAK MAUT) besides many others, which would be announced soon. Judging by the demos distributed by SKYHARBOR on Soundcloud.com, what lies ahead in the album is set to be a class apart. At times when the growling vocals are conquering the Indian Metal Community, SILVER TEARS is a band that really impressed me with their clean and melodic vocals with two DREAM THEATRE covers at last years BLITZKRIEG (IIT-D’s annual fest). So from the day I’ve heard the news about their debut EP, I have been waiting for the release with much anticipation and my expectations were sky HIGH.
