Tommy T. Baron; CORONER/ex-KREATOR guitarist).

Swedish Experimental/ Extreme Metal band MESHUGGAH have confirmed KOLOSS as the title of their new album, due in Germany on 23rd March and the rest of Europe on 26th March (27th March in North America) as a CD digi, limited-edition Magic Cube (CD digi plus DVD exclusive to Nuclear Blast mail order) and two-Lp brown vinyl via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS.

Most folk instruments and also vocals [were] recorded by Anna Murphy and Marco Jencarelli at the SOUNDFARM STUDIOS in Lucerne."

Swedish Experimental/Extreme Metal band MESHUGGAH have issued the following update:
"After a long time of deep soul searching and intense wrecking of the psyches, the new album is finally done. Soon you will meet this colossus that will pulverize your being. Welcome to the other side on 27th March."

SHINING (Norway; not the Swedish Extreme Metal act), TAAKE, VREID and INSENSE have been nominated in the "Metal" category at the 40th annual Spellemann Awards (the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy Awards). The largest and oldest Norwegian music awards show will be held Saturday, 14th January at Folketeateret in Oslo, Norway and will be broadcast live on the Norwegian channel Nrk1.
