Gothenburg, Sweden-based Metal act ENGEL will release their third album, BLOOD OF SAINTS, on 18th May via SEASON OF MIST. The CD was recorded at ANTFARM STUDIOS in Aabyhøj, Denmark. According to the group, the new album "is going to be a good mixture between both [previous efforts] THRENODY [2010] and ABSOLUTE DESIGN [2007], but with some new angles as well! If you liked THRENODY, you will love BLOOD OF SAINTS!"
Chicago based Extreme Progressive Metal titans VEIL OF MAYA will release their third full-length album, ECLIPSE, on 28th February via SUMERIAN RECORDS. Produced by djent hero Misha Mansoor of PERIPHERY, the CD is "a stunningly concise yet diverse metal record, packed full of death metal chops, technical metal grooves, progressive arrangements and hardcore rip-yer-throat-out attitude," according to a press release. "The guitar work is as slick is it comes - stunning precision, inventive melodies and tasteful use of technique that will equally impress the muso as much as the metal head. But most importantly, this album is full of so many memorable riffs, rhythms and vocal hooks that you'll be itching to hit play again as soon as it's finished."

Veteran Progressive Metal band ELDRITCH will release their eighth studio album, GAIA'S LEGACY, on 25th September via SCARLET RECORDS. A concept effort dealing with global warming based on Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth", the CD sees ELDRITCH going back to its technical progressive roots, with lots of influences raging from thrash to Aor and a modern approach still in the band's distinctive style. Frontman Terence Holler wrote all the lyrics after a deep search of information on every kind of source for the last three years.
All Shall Perish Streaming Entire New Album

THIS IS WHERE IT ENDS, the fourth full-length album from Oakland, California's Extreme Metal band ALL SHALL PERISH, is available for streaming in its entirety on the band's Facebook page. The CD was released on 26th July in North America and on 29th July in Europe via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. The majority of the follow-up to 2008's AWAKEN THE DREAMERS was recorded and mixed once again at CASTLE ULTIMATE STUDIOS in Oakland with producer Zack Ohren (LIGHT THIS CITY, DECREPIT BIRTH, SUFFOCATION).

After a long period of intensive work in Greece and Sweden along with producer Fredrik Nordström(IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY) at FREDMAN STUDIOS, Athens, Greece-based Death/Thrash Metal band DESCENDING has completed work the follow-up to its debut album, ENTER ANNIHILATION, which was released in European and Japanese markets in 2008-2009. The as-yet-untitled new CD will be made available on 23rd September 2011 via MASSACRE RECORDS. A brand new digital single will posted online on 1st June 2011.
