The first-ever single released by Swedish Extreme Metal band SHINING, which was exclusively distributed in Sweden via SWEDEN ROCK MAGAZINE, was certified gold in the band's home country in August by the International Federation Of The Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 10,000 copies. (Note: Each copy of the magazine containing the CD sold in Sweden was counted towards the certification; the single itself was "not" sold separately.)

CANDLELIGHT RECORDS has set an 4th October North American release date for ABSU's new album titled ABZU. The CD is part two of a planned trilogy of recordings from the Dallas-based Occult Metal band. Mixed by J.T. Longoria (KING DIAMOND, SOLITUDE AETERNUS), the effort features the original works of Polish artist Zbigniew Bielak (WATAIN, BEHEMOTH, DESTROYER 666, VADER).

Philadelphia-based Metal band SINGLE BULLET THEORY has inked a two-album deal with Chicago's GOOMBA MUSIC. The group's new CD, IV, contains 10 fresh tracks featuring new members John Ruszin Iii (guitar), Jeff Kalber (bass) and Acacio Carvalho (drums). All drum tracks for the effort were recorded at CLAY CREEK STUDIO in Newark, Delaware with engineer Nick Rotundo. The remainder of the album is being recorded at RUSZIN'S STUDIOS in Wenonoh, New Jersey.

Horror Metal band ALBATROSS from Mumbai who recently signed to DEMONSTEALER RECORDS have revealed the cover artwork and tracklist for their debut EP DINNER IS YOU.

IN THE COURT OF KURU, the new single by mumbai based horror metal band ALBATROSS has finally been uploaded on their MySpace page. The new single comes off from the bands upcoming E.P entitled DINNER IS YOU and will be mastered by the legendary Andy La Rocque(KING DIAMOND,MERCYFUL FATE).

METAL BLADE RECORDS has set an 13th October release date for the reissues of KING DIAMOND's THE SPIDER's LULLABYE and THE GRAVEYARD albums. Both LPs were remastered by KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque and each title includes bonus material that purchasers will be able to obtain digitally. Both THE SPIDER's LULLABYE and THE GRAVEYARD will include live "bootleg" versions (with video footage) of the following songs: THE SPIDER's LULLABYE from the album of the same name, and TRICK OR TREAT and UP FROM THE GRAVE from THE GRAVEYARD.

GWYNBLEIDD's debut album, NOSTALGIA, is scheduled for release on 27th October via BLACKCURRANT MUSIC.

NOSTALGIA showcases GWYNBLEIDD's signature style, blending elements of progressive metal, black metal, death metal, and traditional european folk music.

The album was recorded by MICHAL KACUNEL and TOMASZ GAJEWSKI at SIA ACOUSTICS and mixed by PAWEL MARCINIAK at MANXIMUM STUDIO. The CD was mastered by ALAN SILVERMAN (THE KINKS, CHEAP TRICK) at Arf! Renowned artist TRAVIS SMITH (KING DIAMOND, SOILWORK) collaborated with GWYNBLEIDD to create album art that helps tell the story of  NOSTALGIA; the CD version of NOSTALGIA comes packaged in a digipack with an extensive 20-page booklet, designed by SMITH and the band.
