The world knows him as “The God Of Small Strings”, an ex- MOTHERJANE, WRENZ UNITED lead guitarist, composer, producer and guitar teacher. He twice has been voted as the best guitarist at The Jack Daniel’s Awards (India), and often incorporates Carnatic inspired riffs and solos that don’t fail to experience you goose bumps. Baiju recently released his first studio single with KAAV and also working on his solo album. So here’s an interview with him to gain some insight into his work and his music career.

Baiju Dharmajan, former guitarist with Kerala Rock act MOTHERJANE and one of India’s most acclaimed guitarists, has just announced that he’s signed with Cochym, a new label and artist management company based in Cochin, Kerala. Famously known as “The God of Small Strings” for his Carnatic-inspired guitar style, Dharmajan will release his forthcoming debut solo album on the label.

THE DOWN TRODDENCE is a Kannur-based Metal band comprised of Munz (Vocals), Ganesh (Drums), Sushin (Keys), Varun (Lead Guitar) Rinoy (Rhythm Guitar) and Nezer (Bass). They stormed into the Metal scene in "God's Own Country" with their (killer of a) debut single - DEATH VANITY, and followed through with a series tight gigs to meet the match. The band is now working on a studio album and a music video in an effort to set a higher notch for themselves. I have Munz, who handles vocal duties for the band, with me - sharing the ups and downs of the story so far.

Trivandrum, Kerala based Thrash Metal band CHAOS recently released the bands new single titled SAINT on their Reverbnation page.

Last year Progressive/Carnatic Rock band MOTHERJANE from Kochi, Kerala had suffered a line-up change with the departure of their key member Baiju Dharmajan as he wanted to continue his musical career with other project WRENZ UNITED, a Cochin, Kerala based Rock band. But sooner or later, the band has finally found the replacement for the "irreplaceable member" by announcing Santosh Chandran as the new guitarist for MOTHERJANE.

MOTHERJANE have issued the following band updates about Baiju Dharmajan:
"We are saddened to confirm to all MOTHERJANE's fans and friends that Baiju, 'the God of small strings", is moving on with his new band WRENZ UNITED. It has been a very difficult period for us as he played a huge part in making MOTHERJANE become one of the biggest bands in India and Asia. We made two acclaimed albums with him, had a great rund, and so we've decided to just cherish all that we achieved over the last decade.

Psychedelic/Progressive Metal band INFIDELS OF SANITY from Pune is out with their latest track titled OCEAN RIP on their Reverbnation page.

IMR: Hello Arun! First and foremost thing, I would like to congratulate you guys on behalf of Team IMR for the release of your debut E.P; an album that is sure to catch attention. How does it feel to have accomplished that step in such a short duration of time?
Arun(KAAV): Hi Praveen. Even though the band was formed in 2009, Shyam and Shabeer were making music for a long time. They had already composed tracks like DAYA. After I joined, we could materialize so many creative ideas that were in a stale state without the presence of drums. What I feel is that the E.P is a result of collective experiences we had as musicians in our respective journeys. Yes, we are happy to know that people have accepted KAAV as an Instrumental band. And the E.P would have never become a reality without the support and guidance of Baiju Dharmajan(MOTHERJANE).
