AKERCOCKE/MY DYING BRIDE drummer David Gray has joined forces with other AKERCOCKE members Peter Benjamin and Sam Loynes (also of DIMINISHED FIFTH) in a new Black Metal project called VOICES.

Following the release of EVINTA earlier this year, in which the band marked 20 years of existence with a release of symphonic compositions re-imagining past MY DYING BRIDE themes, the UK Doom Metal legend now presents its latest chapter in the form of new EP, THE BARGHEST O' WHITBY, to be released 7th November through PEACEVILLE RECORDS on CD and limited vinyl.

NEMHAIN - the U.K.-based band featuring drummer Adrian Erlandsson (AT THE GATES, PARADISE LOST, Ex-CRADLE OF FILTH) and his wife, Amber - has made its new EP, THE MURDER MILE, available for "FREE DOWNLOAD". (Zip file, 22 Mb).

U.K Doom Metal legends MY DYING BRIDE have issued the following update:
"MY DYING BRIDE are back in the studio to record a three-part EP due for release later in the year. No titles revealed just yet, but the news is that it is to be a concept EP of effectively one track of over 25 minutes long split into three 'acts.' Recording is to take place at FUTUREWORKS STUDIOS in late August with long-term sound engineer Mags once again taking the pain.

IMR: Greetings Hal Sinden! Before we start off the interview I was wondering if you could give a short introduction about the band’s inception for our readers and also the significance behind the band’s name TALANAS, how does it fit the band’s style ofmusic?
HAL: Greetings, and thank you for reading! TALANAS started in September 2008 immediately after the demise of INTERLOCK - the industrial metal band that Joe & I were in(signed to ANTICULTURE RECORDS). We struggled for ages to come up with a decent name as so many have been taken now by tiny, one-person bedroom bands on MySpace. Eventually, we found talanas completely by mistake whilst looking for names of beasts & mythical animals, it turns out it's a type of insect and have recently discovered that's it's also a solar phenomenon. The name itself has been quite useful since it’s unusual and hard to forget. We could’ve gone with one of the more ‘fashionable’ long emo names like ‘November My Cold Heart Betrothed’ or some othernonsense but TALANAS seems to grab some attention in a good way.

Oporto, Portugal-based metal outfit HEAVENWOOD recently announced the release of their forthcoming fourth album, ABYSS MASTERPIECE via LISTENABLE RECORDS on 28th February 2011.  It was mixed and mastered by Kristian " Kohle " Kohlmannslehner at KOHLEKELLER STUDIOS(http://www.myspace.com/kohlekellerstudio).
