Progressive Metal band ECCENTRIC PENDULUM from Bangalore, Karnataka have recently made their first big announcement for the year 2012. The band is finally confirmed and will be playing at SWR Barroselas Metalfest XV, which is scheduled to take place from 26th April to 30th April 2012 at the small village of Barroselas, in the north of Portugal. So get ready to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary with a five days special edition. With names like VENOM, NAPALM DEATH, BRUJERIA, KATATONIA or KREATOR on its history, SWR Barroselas Metalfest XV features two indoor stages and an outside free entrance area featuring some performances and concerts. A forest campsite with toilets and hot shower facilities opens for free usage during the entire festival.

Guitarist Christian Strömblad has left Swedish Death Metal band NOMINON in order to focus on "some personal shit." His replacement is Alexander Lyrbo, who has proven himself more than worthy to fill Christian's bloodstained boots," the band writes in a post on its Official Website.

Reactivated Swedish death metallers DESULTORY will enter NECROMORBUS STUDIOS (WATAIN, NOMINON, AVERSE SEFIRA, FUNERAL MIST, NEX, ONDSKAPT, MORK GRYNING, ADORIOR) in Alvik, Sweden in November with producer Tore Stjerna to begin recording their first new album in almost 14 years. The follow-up to 1996's SWALLOW THE SNAKE will be released in early 2010 via PULVERISED RECORDS.
