Queens, New York Instrumental/Progressive Metal band DYSRHYTHMIA has inked a deal with PROFOUND LORE RECORDS. The band will enter the studio this spring with DYSRHYTHMIA bassist Colin Marston handling production duties to begin recording its next album for a late summer/early fall release. The group states, "We're gonna do our most to make this the best DYSRHYTHMIA [effort] yet."

Swedish Technical Death Metal assassins SPAWN OF POSSESSION have completed work on their third full-length album, INCURSO, for a spring release via RELAPSE RECORDS. The CD, which will contain nine tracks plus an instrumental intro, was recorded at PAMA STUDIOS in Kristianopel, Sweden with engineer Magnus "Mankan" Sedenberg.

Maryland Extreme Metal band DYING FETUS have entered WRIGHTWAY STUDIOS in Baltimore with longtime producer Steve Wright (SLIPKNOT, MISERY INDEX) to begin recording their new album for a mid-2012 release via RELAPSE RECORDS. This will feature nine tracks and is a 'return to roots,' with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works," according to a press relase. "Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know."

RELAPSE RECORDS has announced the signing of California anarcho-grinders LIBERTEER. The band's debut album, BETTER TO DIE ON YOUR FEET THAN LIVE ON YOUR KNEES, will be released on 31st January 2012.

RELAPSE RECORDS has announced the signing of New Zealand Progressive/Death Metal band ULCERATE. The band will enter the studio in the fall of 2012 to begin recording its next album.

CANDLELIGHT RECORDS has announced the worldwide signing of Thrash Metal band RUMPELSTILTSKIN GRINDER. The Philadelphia-based band is already working on its new album, titled GHOSTMAKER, expected for release early spring 2012. The four-piece tested some of their new material via a string of regional shows this past weekend and expect to tour in support of the album once released.

ECHO FRIENDLY DISCHARGE, a brand new song from the seminal Grindcore/Extreme Metal outfit BRUTAL TRUTH, can be streamed at SickDrummerMagazine.com. The track comes off the band's new full-length album, END TIME, which will be released on 27th September in North America via RELAPSE RECORDS. The CD was recorded with Doug White at WATCHMEN STUDIOS in Lockport, New York and was mixed by Jason P.C at GOATSOUND STUDIOS. Mastering duties were handled by Scott Hull at VISCERAL SOUND.
