RELAPSE RECORDS has announced the signing of North Carolina's finest psychedelic, stoner punks ASG. The band will enter the studio in February 2012 with producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, CHILDREN OF BODOM, FU MANCHU) to begin recording its highly anticipated new album.

Bob Larson, an American radio and television evangelist and one of the leading practitioners of modern, Christian exorcisms, conducted an exorcism in August on Jørn Stubberud, best known as the bassist in the legendary Norwegian Black Metal band MAYHEM (where he performs under the stage name Necrobutcher). The entire event was filmed by Nrk (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation), the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company and the largest media organization in Norway, for a special program which was just aired in Norway. Norwegian outfit SHINING will release its first ever live DVD and CD, LIVE BLACKJAZZ, on 11th November via INDIE RECORDINGS. The effort was produced by SHINING  frontman Jørgen Munkeby and was mixed by Sean Beavan (MARILYN MANSON, SLAYER). The mastering duties were handled by Tom Baker (NINE INCH NAILS).

REBORN IN DEFIANCE, the long-awaited new studio album from New York Hardcore/Metal legends BIOHAZARD, will be released on 20th January 2012. The CD will be made a vailable via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS outside of North America, with a U.S label partner soon to be announced. The band will celebrate the launch with a record-release party in its hometown of Brooklyn, New York before setting off on an extensive international tour.

Eight years after the release of BLOT, legendary Viking Metal act EINHERJER will issue its comeback album, NORRON, on 9th September via INDIE RECORDINGS. The CD was recorded at STUDIO BOREALIS and was produced by EINHERJER's Frode Glesnes. Matt Hyde (SLAYER, MONSTER MAGNET) mixed the effort. The cover artwork was painted by Renathe H. Bryn.

This 24th September 2011, Mumbai will be playing host to India’s first ever SLAYER tribute gig. This gig is a tribute organized by Mumbai Death/Thrash metal band DEVOID. They will also be joined on stage by members from DEMONIC RESURRECTION, BHAYANAK MAUT, ZYGNEMA, ATMOSFEAR, EXHUMATION and others. The event will also host a screening session of SLAYER videos prior to the gig.

Athens, Ohio's SKELETONWITCH will release its new album, FOREVER ABOMINATION, on 11th October via PROSTHETIC RECORDS. The follow-up to 2009's BREATHING THE FIRE was recorded at a LOS ANGELES STUDIOS with producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, MACHINE HEAD, KREATOR). The effort will include the track THE INFERNAL RESURRECTION, the demo version of which appears as the B-side on the final seven-inch of a limited-edition vinyl trilogy. This marks SKELETONWITCH's first recording with the group's new drummer, former DEMIRICOUS skin-pounder Dustin Boltjes.

ON THE BACK OF ANGELS, a brand new song from Progressive Metal giants DREAM THEATER, is available for streaming at the ROADRUNNER RECORDS YouTube Channel. The track comes off the band's new album, A DRAMATIC TURN OF EVENTS, which is scheduled for release on 13th September via ROADRUNNER RECORDS. The CD was mixed by Andy Wallace, who has previously worked with AVENGED SEVENFOLD, WHITE ZOMBIE, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, SEPULTURA, SLAYER and NIRVANA, among many others.
