Following up from their debut E.P, DIRT BEYOND BEAUTY, Guwahati based Progressive/Experimental metallers SILVER TEARS recently released their second E.P titled ENSNARED. For those of you expecting new stuff, you’ll find it in the vocals - Girish Pradhan done the Vocalist cap in this one. The E.P does justice to the band’s genre Experimental in that they’ve tried a hell lot of stuff and churned out a fairly good Metal E.P– jamming in heavy spaced riffs, neatly crafted solos, decent keyboard parts, and a lot of double-bass drumming.

Guwahati based Progressive/Experimental act SILVER TEARS is set to release its second studio offering ENSNARED- a collection of re-recorded tunes from their debut E.P – DIRT BEYOND BEAUTY. The 3-track album has been re-recorded, mixed and mastered by Siddharth Barooa(Of LUCID RECESS fame). Mumbai Technical Death Metal band BLOOD MERIDIAN has announced the release of their debut ELEMENTS OF BRUTALITY(E.P) on the 11th Feburary 2011. The E.P contains 5 skull crushing tracks and has been mixed and mastered by Arun Iyer(vocalist of thrash metal band DEVOID) in MOTORG STUDIOS, Mumbai. The artwork has been created by Saloni Sinha (previous works include AMOGH SYMPHONY, SILVER TEARS and GUTSLIT).

At times when the growling vocals are conquering the Indian Metal Community, SILVER TEARS is a band that really impressed me with their clean and melodic vocals with two DREAM THEATRE covers at last years BLITZKRIEG (IIT-D’s annual fest). So from the day I’ve heard the news about their debut EP, I have been waiting for the release with much anticipation and my expectations were sky HIGH.
