Since more than ten years now, Mumbai-based SPLIT has been in and out of the scene, mastering the stage at live venues. After seven years, when they released their first E.P, P IS FOR PIG in 2008, which was really a compilation of their best live songs, fans wondered when they would get to hear newer material from the band which gets mentioned whenever someone talks about the top independent acts in the country. Finally, we have a full-length album of theirs, produced by the Kiwi producer Zorran Mendonsa who apart from being a previous band member himself, has also worked with GODDESS GAGGED and THEM CLONES as producer.

Mumbai, Maharashtra based Alternative Rock band SPLIT have finally finished all their duties on the band's most awaited debut album titled COUNTING PERFUME and are pretty much ready to hit the Indian Music scene once again with their debut album laucn which is set to take place on 12th February 2012 at BlueFrog (Mumbai)!

It takes a while to write about an evening that had "Old Monk" on the house accompanied with an extreme dosage of wonderful music. Even more so when you throw in the company of those who have made the music that not only gets your head into motion, but touches your soul too. The combination being, undoubtedly deadly, the hangover takes a long time to wear off.

Vincent Pereira was a local Mumbai boy, born on 26th May 1985. He was known for his Gratefulness, Modesty and Musicianship. Till date Vincent is still recognized as a true friend by every musician in Mumbai. He was fondly known as “The Beast” by all. He was a prime member of PRAKALP and played a major role in the band as he kept pushing his band members constantly to be different, in their playing patterns and genre, which no other band had done before. They were the first “Hindi Metal band”. He also played with bands like ATMOSFEAR(Death Metal), PRIMAL RAGE(Thrash Metal), SPIKED CRIB(Black Metal) and also was a part of a Gospel Rock band. He was, and still is a true inspiration to the youth and is a reason why so many of us want to pick up the bass.

DEMONIC RESURRECTION picked up the Metal Hammer Golden God Award in the Global Metal category in June 2010 and followed it up by bagging the "Best Song" and "Best Album" awards in the public choice category at the Rolling Stone Metal Awards that same month. The band has now been nominated in the Best Band category which is open for public voting as well as for individual awards in the best Drummer, Vocalist, Guitarist and Keyboardist categories at the Jack Daniel Rock Awards.
