13 will never be an unlucky number again! MEGADETH’s 13th studio LP record literally tames the unlucky. Thirteen tracks on the record, thirteen candles on the artwork(CD cover) – the first look of it makes you realize you are up for a treat. Most bands have a linear quality graph and MEGADETH stands out in the crowd. Their ENDGAME was a benchmark and TH1RT3EN is a perfect successor to this success story. Outstanding production and sticking to Old School Metal roots makes it the perfect blend of mindless thrash and fast paced melodic rollercoaster. Spanish Thrash Metal band ANGELUS APATRIDA have entered ULTRASOUND STUDIOS in Moita, Portugal with producer Daniel Cardoso (ANATHEMA, ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN) and sound engineer Hugo Andrade to begin recording their new album for an early 2012 release via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS. 10 new tracks and two bonus tracks are being recorded for the as-yet-untitled CD, including IT'S RISING!, YOU ARE NEXT, BLOOD ON THE SNOW, VIOLENT DAWN and STILL CORRUPT. The artwork for the album will one again be created by Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes (ARCH ENEMY, FIREWIND, THE CROWN).

ANATOMY OF I, the band formed by vocalist/guitarist Michael Dorrian, with longtime friends Dirk Verbeuren (SCARVE, SOILWORK) on drums and Steve DiGiorgio (SADUS, DEATH, TESTAMENT) on bass, released their debut album on 5th September. Guitarist Dino Cazares of Los Angeles Metal band FEAR FACTORY has begun demoing material for the band's next album, tentatively due in early 2012. Assisting Dino during the sessions earlier today (Wednesday, 3rd August) at L.A.'s DOWNTOWN REHEARSAL STUDIOS was DEVOLVED drummer John Sankey.
Chicago's DIRGE WITHIN will release a new digital EP, ABSOLUTION, on 16th August. The three-song effort will give fans a taste of what's to come from the band's forthcoming sophomore album, due out in early 2012.
Philadelphia-based Metal band SINGLE BULLET THEORY has inked a two-album deal with Chicago's GOOMBA MUSIC. The group's new CD, IV, contains 10 fresh tracks featuring new members John Ruszin Iii (guitar), Jeff Kalber (bass) and Acacio Carvalho (drums). All drum tracks for the effort were recorded at CLAY CREEK STUDIO in Newark, Delaware with engineer Nick Rotundo. The remainder of the album is being recorded at RUSZIN'S STUDIOS in Wenonoh, New Jersey.
STORM SEEKER, the debut album from Norway's ICS VORTEX, the project led by the former DIMMU BORGIR and current BORKNAGAR member, will be released on 22nd August in Europe and 23rd August in North America via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS.
