Dutch Blackened Metal masters Onheil have entered the studio with producers Bart Hennephof (Textures) and Yuma van Eekelen (Exivious, ex-Pestilence) to begin recording their new album, Storm Is Coming, for a fall release via German Metal specialists Cyclone Empire.

TEXTURES reached the epitome of technical and musical talent with their previous - SILHOUETTES. But a change in line-up with Daniel De Jongh (ex-CILICE) and Uri Dijk (ETHEREAL) join in as vocalist and keyboardist respectively paves way for a new sound and probably a new perspective to their entire music making process.

MUTINY IN MARCH is a 5-piece Hardcore/Metal band from Gurgaon, formed in April 2011. With a different style and a whole new view on music compared to other bands, the band has attracted quite a lot of attention and a decent fan following from the few gigs they have played so far. All the members being in their late teens, their musical taste and interests keep on evolving, and so does the music they create, meawhile keeping their tracks heavy. Their influences range from bands like PARKWAY DRIVE, AUGUST BURNS RED, FOR A FALLEN DREAMS and HATEBREED to the bands like GOJIRA, TEXTURES and MESHUGGAH.

GODDESS GAGGED. A name I’ve been particularly keeping a watch out for. I don’t want to compartmentalise their music but I see a plethora of sounds in their music- PORCUPINE TREE, KARNIVOOL, TEXTURES, OCEANSIZE and a good amount of Post-Hardcore influences, each an elite from its respective genre of music. It is pretty cool how the GODDESS GAGGED sound has been shaped from a variety of these influences. I have mentioned the names of artists along with a review of each track to give a flavour of the album.

Dutch Death/Thrash Metal act DETONATION has completed work on its fourth album, REPRISAL, due later in the year via an as-yet-undetermined record label. The cover artwork was created by Kevin Storm.

Heavy Metal cooking show Headbanger's Kitchen hosted by DEMONIC RESURRECTION frontman Demonstealer have released their 6th episode featuring Indian Metal band UNDYING INC from Delhi. The recipe section of the show features an "Undying Meatzza" with Garlic Bread, while during the interview the band speaks about their musical journey, opening for idols like MESHUGGAH and TEXTURES and their future plans.

SINGULARITY, a brand new song from Dutch Progressive Metal band TEXTURES, can be streamed on the band's Facebook page. (Note: You must "like" the group in order to hear the cut.) The track comes off TEXTURES's fourth album, DUALISM, which will be released in Europe, South America, Australia and Asia on 23rd September and in North America on 27th September via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. The CD was recorded at SPLIT SECOND SOUND STUDIO in Amsterdam and was produced by TEXTURES guitar player Jochem Jacobs, who helmed all of the band's previous albums. The first single, REACHING HOME, will be released on 19th August through all major download sites.

On 31st August, the venue B69 in Mumbai will host an exclusive TEXTURES listening party, during which fans can enjoy the new TEXTURES album DUALISM before it hits the stores. Indian Metal band SCRIBE will also perform live during this evening. The listening party starts at 9:00 PM and entry is "FREE".

Maryland based Experimental/Progressive Metal six-piece PERIPHERY has released the following statement:
"We have some sad news to share. [Guitarist] Alex Bois and PERIPHERY have decided to part ways. This is truly a sad day for PERIPHERY, because Alex has been with us since the beginning, and he is like a brother to us. We're going to do everything we can to make the most out of this unfortunate situation, and soldier on like we always have in the past when faced with setbacks. In regards to all of our upcoming shows and tours, worry not! We will have special guest artists filling in for Alex, so our touring plans will not be changing whatsoever. Throughout all of this, we really appreciate your support and understanding."
