MY DESTINY, a brand new track from Seattle-based Christian Metal band DEMON HUNTER, can be streamed on the band's FaceBook page. The track comes off the group's sixth full-length album, TRUE DEFIANCE, which will arrive on 10th April via SOLID STATE RECORDS.

Deathcore is a genre that everyone seems to look down on, there seems to be a dearth of this is “This is not real Metal, Deathcore sucks” comments on Youtube and other Social Networking websites, which I do find quite funny, to each his own I say. However that being said I am not really a huge fan of the genre myself as I think it gets boring after a while, but then I remember what my friend said; “good music is good music regardless of the genre”, and thus that is what is to be found here.

Indianapolis, Indiana's Progressive Metal prodigies THE CONTORTIONIST will enter AUDIOHAMMER STUDIOS in Sanford, Florida in February with producers Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, CHIMAIRA, DEVILDRIVER) and Eyal Levi (AUGUST BURNS RED, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) to begin recording their sophomore album for a late spring/early summer 2012 release via GOOD FIGHT MUSIC.

SOULFLY has completed recording its new studio album for an early 2012 release via ROADRUNNER RECORDS. The CD was recorded at with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has previously worked with CHIMAIRA, HATEBREED, ALL THAT REMAINS, THE ACACIA STRAIN, BORN OF OSIRIS and SHADOWS FALL, among others. The band's new drummer, David Kinkade (BORKNAGAR, ARSIS, MALEVOLENT CREATION), described the group's new material on his Facebook page as "crushing, fast thrash, blasting, tribal and fueled by extreme burrito fury. The record is sounding fucking sick. Thrashy as fuck...totally ARISE [referring to SEPULTURA's classic 1991 album] on crack and speed."

Canadian Modern Metal band THREAT SIGNAL will release their third, self-titled album on 7th October via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. The CD was recorded at PLANET Z STUDIOS in Hadley, Massachusetts with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (CHIMAIRA, HATEBREED, ALL THAT REMAINS, THE ACACIA STRAIN, BORN OF OSIRIS, SHADOWS FALL).

LAKE ABLAZE, the new music video from Florida-based Extreme Metal veterans HATE ETERNAL can be viewed below. The clip was directed by David Brodsky, who has previously worked with AS I LAY DYING, SUICIDE SILENCE, KATAKALYSM, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and STRAPPING YOUNG LAD among others. The song comes off the band's latest album, PHOENIX AMONGST THE ASHES, which sold around 1,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 14 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Canadian Thrash Metal band THREAT SIGNAL will enter the studio this weekend to begin recording their as-yet-untitled third album with producer Chriss "Zeuss" Harris.

South Carolina death metal act, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD have announced the title of their forthcoming release, on PROSTHETIC RECORDS. The album, their third full length, will be titled, SKEPSIS. The band has been recording at New York’s GELLAR CELLAR STUDIOS. Alan Douches has been tapped to master the effort.

DAY OF MORNING is the title cut of DESPISED ICON's new album, which is scheduled for release on 22nd September via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS. The CD was produced by Yannick St-Amand, while the mixing duties were handled by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (HATEBREED, THE ACACIA STRAIN, WHITECHAPEL) in Massachusetts. The whole thing was mastered by Alan Douches (MASTODON, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, NILE).
