Duliajan, Assam based Old-School Metal outfit SHADES OF RETRIBUTION, who catch some eyeballs with their debut one-of-a-kind album XONGRAM that was released on 17th December 2010, is giving the album for "Free Download" on their Official Website.
On 23rd October 2011 the first teaser for the upcoming documentary "Everlasting Burn" is released, this teaser is part of a series of five teasers which will be released before the final release, sometime in the month of December. The film is based on the legendary Death Metal band THIRD SOVEREIGN who have gained a lot of respect in the scene due to their prowess as musicians a well as being one of the most visceral Death Metal acts in the country. The first teaser shows band playing at The Mezz when it was still at its prime before shutting down.

Yesterday evening as I was walking down New Friends Colony, I saw that the sign board for The Mezz a pub in that area and a regular venue for Metal gigs was missing ,I asked the waiter who was standing outside Daawat Khaana (the restaurant opposite to the mezz which was in collaboration) what happened, to which he replied that it has closed, I enquired till when, to which he said forever. On this hearing this I was shocked, as now one of the premier joints for metal and the place which had pretty much introduced me to the scene was now over.
