ALBATROSS are back! Barely a year after the kickass DINNER IS YOU(E.P), the five men Heavy/Horror Metal act from Mumbai, Maharashtra have something new to offer - KISSING FLIES, another E.P (hurray! for that). The record is being released in the form of a split with VESTAL CLARET, an US-based Occult Heavy Metal act by a fairly young & independent ROADCREW RECORDS (did I mention ALBATROSS are no longer under DEMONSTEALER RECORDS?).
ROADCREW RECORDS is proud to announce the release of a split CD featuring Mumbai based Horror/Heavy Metal band ALBATROSS and Connecticut based Occult/Heavy Metal band VESTAL CLARET. The CD will officially be launched at ALBATROSS's album release gig the 30th of March at Star Rock, Chennai. It contains two tales of darkness, morbidity and despair.

IMR: Hello, Riju “Dr. Hex” Dasgupta! So, how is the working for the upcoming split, THE KISSING FLIES going at ALBATROSS's campaign. Also, how and when did this collaborative effort with US Occult Heavy Metal band VESTAL CLARET started finding it's musical roots?
Riju Dasgupta(ALBATROSS): It all begun one fateful night when I linked Phil Swanson of VESTAL CLARET to one of our songs on facebook chat. He was quite impressed and wrote us a small review. I was floored since I’ve been a fan of Phil’s many bands for years. And then when he asked us to do a split, I didn’t even hesitate for an instant. Simon and Michael are good friends now and fantastic musicians, and it’s going to be a treat working with the guys.
Mumbai, Maharahtra based Indian Horror Metal band, ALBATROSS, has revealed the artwork for their forthcoming EP- THE KISSING FLIES which will be part of a split CD with US based Occult Metal band VESTAL CLARET. Designed by Imran Ladak, the art is a glimpse of the forthcoming concept album and the spine chilling horror which awaits you in early 2012.
