Swadhyay, a Contemporary/Alternative Rock band hailing from Guwahati, Assam will be releasing their debut single titled Maa at the end of May month. This song will be a tribute to every mother and also to their mother-land, Assam. Maa is recorded and mastered at Noisegate Studio, Guwahati.

Following up from their debut E.P, DIRT BEYOND BEAUTY, Guwahati based Progressive/Experimental metallers SILVER TEARS recently released their second E.P titled ENSNARED. For those of you expecting new stuff, you’ll find it in the vocals - Girish Pradhan done the Vocalist cap in this one. The E.P does justice to the band’s genre Experimental in that they’ve tried a hell lot of stuff and churned out a fairly good Metal E.P– jamming in heavy spaced riffs, neatly crafted solos, decent keyboard parts, and a lot of double-bass drumming.

Guwahati based Progressive/Experimental act SILVER TEARS is set to release its second studio offering ENSNARED- a collection of re-recorded tunes from their debut E.P – DIRT BEYOND BEAUTY. The 3-track album has been re-recorded, mixed and mastered by Siddharth Barooa(Of LUCID RECESS fame). UK-based Progressive Metal band DE PROFUNDIS will tour five cities in India, playing at Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Guwahati and Shillong this month. This tour will mark the band’s return to India since their performance alongside Iron Maiden at the ROCK IN INDIA FESTIVAL in 2009.
