Guwahati based Alternative Metal act Lucid Recess have released the video for their new single Changes Are Sold. The track comes from the band’s yet-untitled upcoming second album. You can watch the music video below!

Lucid Recess will be releasing their new single Changes Are Sold on 4th May 2012. The single is the theme song of 2nd Guwahati International Short Film
Festival (2012) and is from their upcoming album to be released later this year.

LUCID RECESS will be releasing their new single WIRELESS JUNKIES on 15th October 2011 which will be available on their FaceBook page. The single comes from their upcoming album to be released next year and will be followed by a couple of more singles in the coming months. The artwork for the single is done by concept artist Mateja Petkovic from Belgrade, Serbia.

LUCID RECESS will be giving away their much acclaimed album ENGRAVED INVITATION for "Free Download" from 5th August, followed by the release of new single's from their upcoming album to be released next year. Guwahati based Progressive/Experimental act SILVER TEARS is set to release its second studio offering ENSNARED- a collection of re-recorded tunes from their debut E.P – DIRT BEYOND BEAUTY. The 3-track album has been re-recorded, mixed and mastered by Siddharth Barooa(Of LUCID RECESS fame). You can sample the album on the band’s Reverbnation page, in exchange for a Tweet/Facebook post linking to SILVER TEARS. CDs are priced at Rs. 100 each. The band is currrenlty to VANTAGE RECORDS.

LUCID RECESS wins the prestigious TOTO AWARDS for MUSIC 2011 held in Bangalore on 8th January 2011. The band received a prize amount of Rs. 50,000.

First of all “Kudos” to North East India Rock Music for bringing out this compilation. It’s not just another album but an effort in bringing out the best in the region and give them an exposure in the national level. North East is always a home for western music (not just metal). From years it is the venue for many rock concerts hosting from White Lion to Scorpions also producing bands like GREAT SOCIETY, LUCID RECESS, SOULMATE and DARK HORIZON who already made an impression in the hearts of metal fans all over the country creating legends like Lau Majaw. But there are many who have that potential but still in search for some exposure. And this album is exactly going to provide them the same.

IMR: Howdy LUCID RECESS and congratulations for the release of your full-length album ENGRAVED INVITATION! Also, one thing that I would really like to know is that, it had been almost three years since your last E.P was released, any significant reason behind the band being calm on the musical scene or maybe I am wrong?
LR: Hello IMR and thanks for having us here. Well after we released our EP in Dec 2007, we didn’t consider making another album for a while. We wanted people to know about us before we released another album. We weren’t exactly calm; we did quite a lot of shows and played at some major festivals during that time. We also opened our studio for good and recorded a lot of bands during this time. It was only in early 2009 that we thought of making a second record and we planned on having it done by the mid of 09, but couldn’t because we had to wait for a long time for some of the equipments to arrive, which we used on the album. So finally on 26th April, we released our first full length album.

The gods have finally descended and it seems as though they are here to stay, this time around.
